In a recent YouTube video titled I’m Not Coming Back,” Paul spoke directly about the reaction from fans who have been openly pleased about his setback.

“I always think about like are the haters like… Yeah. Yeah. I like I’m so happy that he got injured,” Paul said. “Bro, I get it. If you don’t like me, obviously you’re going to pray on my downfall.”

Rather than focusing on negativity, Paul encouraged critics to enjoy his absence while it lasts.

“For all the haters out there praying on my downfall, enjoy it. Soak it up. You got 6 months to soak it up,” he stated. “But I want you to know I’m locking in in a way that people would never expect ever.”

Paul also promised a major comeback once he is medically cleared.

“I’m going to come back with a vengeance better than ever,” he said. “During this six months, I’m going to do things in life that will only help me win more, which will piss off the haters even more. So, if I were y’all, I’d be scared.”

The injury took place during a successful World Tag Team Championship defense against The Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Paul later noted that he felt strong momentum building with Austin Theory before the setback.

With Paul out of action, Bron Breakker has stepped into his spot alongside Theory as WWE adjusts plans for the division.

Despite the injury, Paul’s comments suggest he is focused on rehabilitation and preparing for a return that he believes will surpass his previous performances.
