According to Fightful Select, WWE made the decision during WrestleMania week to convert the match into a Street Fight. The change was announced during the kickoff show for Night Two after officials determined there were too many traditional singles matches across both nights.
The goal was to add variety and avoid repetition on a stacked card. With several one-on-one bouts already scheduled, WWE opted to adjust Balor vs Dominik to create a different type of match environment.
The stipulation had a direct impact on how the match played out.
With Balor competing as his Demon persona, the Street Fight rules allowed for a more aggressive and chaotic style. Weapons became a central part of the match, with kendo sticks, chairs, and tables all used throughout the contest.
Dominik took advantage of the stipulation by introducing multiple weapons into the ring, while Balor responded with high-impact offense and counters. The no-disqualification setting allowed both men to push the pace and escalate the violence as the match progressed.
The finish came when Balor regained control and delivered a Coup de Grace through a table, securing the victory and bringing a decisive end to the feud.
