Stephanie Vaquer Apparently Written Off TV After Vicious Angle – Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer appeared on 1/5 WWE RAW wearing a walking boot on her left foot and addressed the crowd despite dealing with an ankle injury. Commentary noted that Vaquer suffered the injury during her successful title defense last week against Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bell. Vaquer made her entrance for an in-ring promo, signaling she intended to continue working through the injury.
Once in the ring, Vaquer reflected on her standout 2025. She spoke about holding four championships during the year, competing at Evolution, and making her debut on RAW. Vaquer said the most important achievement was living her dream of becoming Women’s World Champion and thanked the WWE Universe for believing in her. She delivered part of her promo in Spanish before pointing to the walking boot and telling the crowd that the injury would not stop her. Vaquer added that she wanted more in 2026 and was ready to face anyone.
As Vaquer posed in the ring following the promo, Raquel Rodriguez attacked her from behind. Rodriguez immediately targeted Vaquer’s injured ankle and delivered the Tejana Bomb. The Judgment Day member then grabbed a chair from ringside and continued focusing on the ankle. Before she could use the chair, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and several backstage producers rushed to the ring to stop the assault.
After the commercial break, Vaquer was shown being helped to the back by officials when Rodriguez struck again. Rodriguez stomped on the champion’s ankle until Pearce intervened, threatened her with a fine, and ordered her removed from the building. Vaquer remained on the floor holding her ankle as officials checked on her.
Segments of this nature are often used to write injured performers off television to allow time for recovery. Following further medical evaluation, WWE could decide to strip Stephanie Vaquer of the Women’s World Championship and vacate the title.
