Several Developmental Talents Depart from WWE – As part of an internal roster adjustment while WWE’s main roster prepares for Crown Jewel overseas, several NXT talents have been released from their contracts. Multiple wrestlers confirmed their departures through social media on Friday evening.
As previously reported, Lance Anoa’i was the first to announce his release earlier in the day, confirming that he is leaving WWE and plans to return to the independent scene once his 30-day non-compete period expires.
Shortly after Anoa’i’s post, Drako Knox—known from his time with WWE LFG and Evolve—announced his departure as well. He wrote, “Effective immediately, I have been released from my contract with WWE. I am thankful for every person and every day I spent in that PC. I give everything I have every single day for this business, I will be available for bookings in 30 days. Email: drakestarks.43@gmail.com.”
Later in the evening, Evolve General Manager and assistant to NXT General Manager Ava, Stevie Turner, revealed that her time with WWE had also come to an end. She tweeted, “My time with @WWE has come to an end. I’ve had a brilliant time and I’m so excited for the future 😆 see you soon.”
Additionally, Jamar Hampton shared news of his release on Instagram before deleting the post. In his message, Hampton stated, “Today I have officially been released from the WWE. I never wished to be a pro wrestler growing up, but I’m grateful I got the opportunity to try! I’ve always been a lowkey out the way type of person, but wrestling forced me to grow and step to the center of attention. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to keep going! Belief in me kept me going when I didn’t believe in myself. This is the end of my wrestling career, I’ll leave it to the professionals now! Wishing success for everyone at the PC! Love (P.S. My hip has healed & I’m off crutches now).”
Although not part of the NXT roster, Zara Zakher also revealed that her WWE ID contract has expired. She wrote:
“As of today, my contract with WWE ID has expired, and I’ll be taking a step back from wrestling. I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met and everyone who’s supported me. I don’t know if or when I’ll be back, but I’m hopeful for the future.”
The series of releases comes as WWE continues to make roster adjustments across its developmental and international divisions.
