Young Bucks Explain Being The Elite’s Return – The Young Bucks have brought back their long-running YouTube series Being The Elite, and while fans welcomed the return, the brothers gave a tongue-in-cheek explanation for why they decided to relaunch the channel.
Matt and Nick Jackson originally started Being The Elite as a behind-the-scenes look at their careers, but it quickly grew into an influential platform that helped drive storylines across Ring of Honor, NJPW, and later AEW. The series played a role in building interest for the group’s matches, feuds, and even the eventual launch of All Elite Wrestling.
Last year, the channel shifted focus with a short-lived Being The Dark Order series, but the concept failed to gain the same traction. Now, the Bucks are once again producing new episodes under the original BTE name.
When a fan asked them online why they didn’t hype up the return more heavily, the Bucks replied with a mix of sincerity and humor.
“Just some fresh content on the channel for the love of the game with no strings attached. The ad revenue can possibly help the financial burden of losing our executive positions too. You understand,” they wrote.
The brothers lost their AEW EVP roles earlier this year following storyline developments, and while their response was in jest, it reflects the Bucks’ self-aware style that has made Being The Elite popular over the years.
Their decision to bring the series back suggests a renewed focus on connecting with fans outside of weekly television, as BTE has long served as a blend of comedy, character development, and creative freedom that mainstream wrestling TV often doesn’t allow.
With the Bucks continuing to play key roles on-screen while also reviving their digital brand, Being The Elite could once again become an important extension of their storytelling—and a reliable way to stay in the spotlight beyond AEW programming.
