According to TMZ, Jackson was taken into custody on Thursday morning and remained jailed Thursday night on a $50,000 bond. While the report did not confirm which law enforcement agency filed the charge, the Los Angeles Police Department had been investigating the August 23 incident.
The situation stemmed from an angle at a KnokX show where Jackson allegedly went far beyond the script. He is accused of slamming independent wrestler Syko Stu to the mat before continuing to strike him after he had lost consciousness.
Stu suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for several days. He has since been released and is recovering at home. His wife launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with mounting medical expenses and lost income, which has raised over $220,000 to date. Notably, YouTube star Mr. Beast and AEW’s Chris Jericho contributed to the fundraiser.
In the aftermath, KnokX Wrestling condemned Jackson’s behavior, labeling it “an irresponsible act of violence.” The promotion also faced consequences of its own, as its WWE ID affiliation was revoked following the incident.
This latest development leaves Jackson facing serious legal trouble while Syko Stu focuses on his recovery. The case has drawn significant attention from both the wrestling and MMA communities given Jackson’s family ties and the disturbing nature of the allegations.
