Nia Jax Calls Tiffany Stratton ‘Ungrateful Little Shit,’ Bayley Earns Title Shot – The January 10 episode of WWE SmackDown was packed with drama as Tiffany Stratton, fresh off her shocking victory over Nia Jax to win the WWE Women’s Championship, addressed the WWE Universe for the first time as champion. Stratton declared that it was “Tiffy Time” and described her victory as a “Tiffy Turn” in her career. She claimed to be better than the WWE Universe’s favorites, even revealing how she befriended Jax and tricked her into letting her guard down.
However, her celebration was short-lived. Nia Jax interrupted, furious over Stratton’s betrayal. Jax called Stratton an ungrateful “little sh*t” and threatened to take back the title, claiming that she made Stratton and that the title was hers. The tension was palpable as Bayley made her entrance next, applauding Stratton for outsmarting Jax, but also hinting at her own desire for the title. Bayley brought up how Stratton had helped Jax defeat her at WWE SummerSlam, emphasizing that she had unfinished business with the gold.
The interruption frenzy continued when WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi entered the fray. Naomi, having nearly defeated Jax for the title, declared her intent to challenge for it. Chaos ensued as Jax attacked Belair and Naomi, leading to a massive brawl. Stratton then made a statement, taking everyone down with her signature Prettiest Moonsault Ever, leaving the ring with her title held high.
In the aftermath, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced a Number One Contender’s Match for the Women’s Championship featuring Nia Jax, Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi. After a chaotic finish, which saw interference from Candice LeRae and a brawl spilling out of the ring, Bayley emerged victorious. She delivered a Roseplant on Naomi while Jax and Belair battled outside, securing her spot as the #1 contender.
On January 17, Bayley will face Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship in what will likely be Stratton’s first title defense since her shocking cash-in on Nia Jax on January 3.
