WWE Splits Undisputed Tag Team Titles, New Champions Crowned – In a surprising turn of events at WWE WrestleMania XL Night 1, two new sets of WWE Tag Team Champions were crowned in a thrilling Ladder Match. The Undisputed Titles are no more.
Entering the match, Judgment Day’s Damian Priest & Finn Balor held both the WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team titles. However, their reign as Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions came to an end during the chaotic match.
First, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, collectively known as A-Town Down Under, seized the WWE SmackDown Tag Titles. Surprisingly the match continued, and ultimately, Awesome Truth, represented by the duo of The Miz and R-Truth, managed to secure the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.
Despite the valiant efforts of JD McDonagh, teams like Judgment Day, The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods, New Catch Republic’s Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne, and #DIY’s Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa were unable to secure victory.
This high-stakes match, featuring Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, culminated in the triumph of two tag teams claiming their inaugural WWE Tag Team Championships.
Furthermore, this victory marked a significant milestone for R-Truth, who secured his first-ever win at WrestleMania, adding another memorable moment to his storied career.
