Mick Foley is officially scheduled to make his debut for All Elite Wrestling this weekend, marking a notable crossover appearance.

Tony Khan confirmed the news by announcing that Foley will be part of AEW Double or Nothing 2026. Rather than competing, Foley will serve as a co-host for The Buy In pre-show alongside Renee Paquette. The pre-show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Eastern Time and will stream across multiple platforms, including AEW’s social media channels, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime.

In his announcement, Khan highlighted the significance of the appearance, noting that it will be Foley’s first night working with AEW. However, no details were provided regarding a formal contract, leaving his long-term status with the company unclear.

Mick Foley — MJF Angle?

Foley’s involvement comes at an interesting time, as the event is being held in his home state of New York. The location adds another layer to the show, particularly with MJF set to headline against Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship in a hair vs. title match. Both competitors have ties to Long Island, making the setting especially relevant.

There has already been some interaction tied to the announcement. MJF responded on social media with a brief message:

“Great…”

That reaction follows comments MJF made earlier in the week during a media appearance, where he took shots at Foley. While nothing has been confirmed, the timing has led to speculation about a possible on-screen interaction. Any involvement from Foley beyond hosting would likely be limited, as he has dealt with concussion issues in recent years. In 2024, those health concerns led him to cancel plans for a final in-ring match.

Foley, now 60, previously announced in December 2025 that he was stepping away from WWE due to disagreements over the company’s political associations. Despite that decision, he remains under a WWE Legends contract that is set to expire next month.

As of now, Foley’s role at Double or Nothing is confirmed strictly for the pre-show, but his presence is expected to draw attention heading into one of AEW’s biggest events of the year.
