Multiple TNA Contracts Near Expiration

Multiple TNA Contracts Near ExpirationTNA Wrestling may be heading into the new year with major roster decisions on the horizon, as several notable contracts are reportedly much closer to expiring than previously believed. A new report from Fightful Select indicates that multiple performers across the heavyweight and X-Division scenes could enter free agency at the end of the year.

The list of names expected to see their deals expire includes Zachary Wentz, AJ Francis, and former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin. All three have played active roles on television throughout 2025, and their potential availability could spark interest from other promotions once their current agreements run out.

The report also provided an important clarification regarding Jake Something’s contractual status. It had long been assumed that Something’s deal, signed a couple of years ago during the summer, would keep him under contract until around June 2026. Fightful Select has now confirmed that this projected timeline was incorrect. Instead, Something’s deal is said to be ending at the close of this year, placing him alongside Maclin, Francis, and Wentz as talents who could soon be weighing new negotiations or testing the free-agent market.

With multiple contracts potentially expiring at the same time, TNA may be preparing for a critical period of re-signings or roster adjustments as 2026 begins. For now, the situation leaves several key in-ring performers in a position where their futures could shift quickly once the calendar rolls over.
