LA Knight and Jey Uso Advance to Semifinals in the Last Time is Now Tournament – LA Knight moved one step closer to a potential showdown with John Cena after securing a spot in the semifinals of the Last Time is Now tournament on the November 28, 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Knight earned his place by defeating The Miz, who filled in for Sheamus after Sheamus was pulled from the bracket due to injury. The match featured several momentum shifts, including a moment when Miz attempted to steal the win by propping his feet on the ropes. Referee Charles Robinson caught the infraction and stopped the count, giving Knight the opening he needed. Moments later, Miz went for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Knight countered and finished the match with the BFT.
Jey Uso also advanced in the tournament after a hard-fought match against Rusev. Rusev dominated early, attacking Uso from the opening bell and attempting to close things out quickly with The Accolade. Uso fought free and answered with a Samoan Drop, but Rusev refused to stay down.
The pace grew more intense as Rusev landed a Machka Kick from the top rope and screamed that the match was over before locking in The Accolade for a second time. Uso barely reached the ropes to force a break, keeping himself alive in the tournament. Rusev tried to end the match by lifting Uso for the Attitude Adjustment, but Uso countered with another spear. With the timing on his side, Uso climbed the turnbuckle and connected with the Uso Splash to secure the pinfall.
Knight and Uso will now meet in the semifinals on Monday’s WWE RAW. The winner of that match will move on to face either Gunther or Solo Sikoa in the final round. Whoever survives the tournament will go on to challenge John Cena in his retirement match on December 3.
