Andrade Walks Out of The Crash Anniversary Show in Tijuana – Andrade El Idolo reportedly walked out of The Crash’s 14th Anniversary Show in Tijuana, Mexico, on Friday, November 7. The former WWE United States Champion was scheduled to compete and was featured as one of the event’s top attractions, but he left the venue before his match took place.
According to reports from Wrestling Observer Radio, Andrade attended the meet-and-greet earlier in the evening and signed autographs for fans but did not participate in the actual show. Dave Meltzer noted that Andrade was “unhappy,” although the exact reason for his frustration remains unclear.
“Andrade was on the show, probably the main attraction on the show. He was there signing autographs, and then he left. The only thing that we heard was that he was unhappy,” Meltzer said. “His non-compete is only [in the] United States so he can work in Tijuana [and] Mexico City.”
Andrade’s current situation stems from his September departure from WWE, where he was reportedly released “with cause” following multiple wellness policy violations. As a result, he remains under a one-year non-compete clause restricted to the United States, allowing him to wrestle internationally — including in Mexico.
Following his WWE exit, Andrade made a surprise return to AEW on the October 1 episode of Dynamite. However, his AEW status has since grown uncertain after WWE allegedly sent a legal notice to AEW regarding his non-compete terms. Since then, Andrade has been absent from television, and AEW announcers have reportedly been instructed not to reference him on broadcasts.
While Andrade’s decision to walk out of The Crash event has drawn attention, it remains to be seen whether it was related to contractual complications, booking issues, or personal dissatisfaction. Fans and industry insiders alike continue to speculate on what lies ahead for the former champion as his non-compete period continues.
