The Good Brothers Now Free Agents, Set for NJPW Return – The Good Brothers, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, are officially free agents. Their 90-day non-compete clause following their release from WWE has expired, opening the door for the next chapter in their careers.
Wasting no time, the former multi-time IWGP Tag Team Champions are heading back to familiar ground. New Japan Pro-Wrestling has confirmed that Gallows and Anderson will make their return at the Resurgence event this Friday, May 9, in Ontario, California.
The duo is slated to reunite with their former Bullet Club allies The Young Bucks for an eight-man tag team bout. Together, they will face the Bullet Club War Dogs — Gabe Kidd, David Finlay, Clark Connors, and Gedo — in a match that brings a Bullet Club civil war to center stage.
This NJPW appearance marks the first major post-WWE move for Gallows and Anderson, who had an uneven second stint in WWE before their release earlier this year. Their return to NJPW, where they previously enjoyed significant tag team success, comes at a time when the promotion is seeing increased crossover visibility through international partnerships.
The updated Resurgence card now looks as follows:
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Hirooki Goto (c) vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
- Strong Women’s Championship (Triple Threat): Mercedes Moné (c) vs. AZM vs. Mina Shirakawa
- NEVER Openweight Championship: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. El Phantasmo
- Strong Openweight Championship: Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs. Drilla Moloney
- The Young Bucks, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Gabe Kidd, David Finlay, Clark Connors & Gedo
- Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship: Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson (c) vs. Templario & TJP
- Fred Rosser vs. Matt Vandagriff
- Pre-show: Allan Breeze vs. CJ Tino
With The Good Brothers now free agents and back in NJPW, their reunion with The Young Bucks adds intrigue to an already stacked event. Their presence could also signal more Bullet Club-related developments heading into the summer.
