John Cena Confirmed for WWE Night of Champions – Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena will compete in what has been billed as his “one final match in Saudi Arabia” as part of his ongoing 2025 retirement tour. The highly anticipated bout is set to take place at WWE Night of Champions, scheduled for June 28th at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
WWE MENA officially confirmed Cena’s participation in the event through an advertisement sent out on May 28, 2025. However, his opponent for the match remains undisclosed. Given the theme of Night of Champions, which traditionally features all championships being defended, it is widely expected that Cena’s Undisputed WWE Championship will be on the line.
Cena’s title reign has been historic, as he captured his record-breaking 17th world championship from Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 in April. Since then, he has successfully defended the belt against Randy Orton at Backlash earlier in the month.
In storyline, Cena has embraced a controversial angle, declaring his intention to “ruin wrestling” by retiring at the end of the year while still holding the Undisputed WWE Championship. Whether WWE will allow him to fulfill this bold claim remains to be seen, but his match in Saudi Arabia will undoubtedly be a crucial chapter in his farewell tour.
