WWE Reportedly Not Considering Brock Lesnar’s Return – Despite speculation following a recent name-drop by Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar is not expected to return to WWE anytime soon due to ongoing legal implications connected to the Janel Grant lawsuit.
WWE fans anticipating a return from Brock Lesnar will likely have to wait much longer. Despite being mentioned in a recent promo by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, current indications suggest there are no active plans for Lesnar’s return to WWE programming.
Lesnar has not appeared on WWE television in months, and that absence is expected to continue indefinitely due to his connection to the ongoing lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The civil suit, filed against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, includes serious allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Lesnar was later identified as the unnamed WWE Champion initially referenced in early reports tied to the lawsuit.
In the amended filing, Lesnar’s name appears multiple times, including an allegation that Vince McMahon allegedly offered Grant to Lesnar in a sexual context during contract negotiations. While Lesnar has not been formally charged or added as a defendant, WWE is reportedly refraining from reintroducing him to television while its legal team continues to evaluate the situation.
Despite Lesnar’s name still being listed on WWE.com’s official talent roster, Fightful Select reports that internal discussions regarding his return have not occurred. The mention of “Brock” in Rhodes’ promo was not intended to signal a comeback, but was likely used in reference to past storylines.
In the meantime, Lesnar has been spotted publicly, recently attending a comedy show, suggesting he is taking time away from the spotlight while legal proceedings continue.
