WWE Planning Tag Match Involving John Cena, Travis Scott, and Bad Bunny – WWE is reportedly preparing to bring global music star Bad Bunny back for another in-ring appearance, and this time it could be as part of a high-profile tag team match involving John Cena and Travis Scott.
Bad Bunny has previously impressed both fans and critics with his in-ring performances. He made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37 in a tag match with Damian Priest, followed by an appearance in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble, and a widely praised Street Fight victory over Priest at WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico.
Speculation about Bunny’s return gained traction earlier this week when reports emerged that WWE is considering a major tag team bout featuring WWE Champion John Cena teaming with rapper Travis Scott. The working theory, stemming from what occurred at WrestleMania 41 where Cena and Scott aligned against Cody Rhodes, is that Rhodes could be positioned on the opposite side in the match.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed discussions around this potential matchup, stating:
“There have already been reports of Scott & Cena doing a tag team match. The theory was Bad Bunny would be on the other side.”
While Cody Rhodes is widely speculated to be involved, his partner for the match has not been finalized. Meltzer added that if Bunny is included, WWE would likely want someone of Cena’s stature to team with him on the babyface side to balance the star power in the match.
If this plan materializes, it would mark another major crossover moment for WWE, continuing its trend of blending mainstream entertainment with wrestling. WWE has previously capitalized on celebrity involvement to boost interest and viewership, and a match featuring Cena, Travis Scott, and Bad Bunny could be a significant draw for a future premium live event.
