WWE Backlash 2025 – Strong Ticket Sales Reported – As noted, WWE has officially announced that Backlash 2025 will take place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, May 10th. St. Louis has a deep history with WWE, having previously hosted Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank, and Survivor Series.
The announcement follows the record-breaking success of Backlash 2024, which was held in Lyon, France. That event sold out completely and became the highest-grossing arena show in WWE history. WWE aims to replicate that level of success with the 2025 edition in St. Louis.
Big Names Set for Backlash 2025
Two of WWE’s most well-known superstars will be featured at Backlash:
- Randy Orton, a St. Louis native, will compete in front of his hometown crowd.
- John Cena, who is currently on his year-long farewell tour, will make his first Backlash appearance since 2009.
With Cena’s retirement looming, this event presents one of the final opportunities for fans to see him perform live.
Strong Ticket Sales for Backlash 2025
Backlash is already off to a strong start in ticket sales. As of the latest update:
- 11,264 tickets have been distributed out of a current setup of 15,045.
- This leaves 3,781 tickets still available.
- Over the past week, an additional 1,967 tickets were distributed.
According to WrestleTix, the current setup exceeds the attendance of the October 7, 2024, episode of RAW, which drew 8,296 fans. The total seating capacity for the event could increase further if demand continues to rise.
With Orton’s homecoming, Cena’s farewell run, and WWE’s momentum from last year’s Backlash, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be another major success for the company.
