WrestleMania 41: Tag Team Title Bout Still Undecided – With just over a week until WrestleMania 41, WWE is reportedly finalizing a 14-match card for the two-night event, although only 12 bouts have been officially announced as of now.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE intends to feature 14 total matches at this year’s show, taking place Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, one match that fans have expected—WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits defending against the Motor City Machine Guns—has yet to be confirmed for either night of WrestleMania.
The Motor City Machine Guns earned a tag team title opportunity after defeating DIY on the April 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. Despite this clear direction, the match is not yet listed on the WrestleMania card.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update, stating that WWE has not made a final decision on whether the match will take place at WrestleMania or during the SmackDown broadcast the night before the event.
Meltzer wrote, “We also didn’t get a listing for Street Profits vs. Motor City Machine Guns, which was seemingly made when the Machine Guns beat DIY on the 4/4 SmackDown show with the winner getting a shot at the tag titles. I assume it was on Mania and was just told a decision on when the match takes place, whether TV the night before on SmackDown, or either night, will be made imminently.”
WrestleMania 41 currently features a stacked lineup, including Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins in the main event of Night One, and Cody Rhodes challenging GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship on Night Two. Other featured bouts include Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch.
