Update on The Rock’s Possible Appearance on WrestleMania 41 Sunday

Update on The Rock’s Possible Appearance on WrestleMania 41 Sunday – As WrestleMania 41 continues to unfold in Las Vegas, uncertainty still surrounds the status of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Despite being a major part of the storyline that saw John Cena turn heel on Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Rock has not appeared on WWE television since the event in February.

Cena, who is scheduled to challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship during Night Two of WrestleMania 41 on Sunday, has made several appearances in the lead-up to the match. Meanwhile, The Rock has remained absent, leading to speculation about his involvement in the culmination of the storyline.

On Saturday, The Rock posted a video to Instagram that appeared to distance him from any WrestleMania-related activity. In the clip, Johnson is seen driving through Maui, Hawaii, with background music playing. The caption read, “I love coming back home and kicking it on Maui with Ohana… I can drive my truck all day all over the island. Life is so crazy, so just breathing in the mana will always be one of my anchors,” accompanied by a series of emojis.

During Saturday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer addressed The Rock’s video. Alvarez said, “[The Rock] did a post, ‘I’m in Hawaii this weekend.’ And as soon as I saw that, I was like, ‘Well, okay.’” Meltzer responded, “Yeah,” and noted that he still believes The Rock will show up in Las Vegas despite the post.

As recently as April 4, Meltzer reported that the only creative plan in place for The Rock was for him to assist Cena in defeating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, Meltzer also stated that Johnson’s participation was still “completely up to Dwayne Johnson,” leaving the door open for a potential surprise appearance.

Adding to the intrigue, rapper Travis Scott—who walked up the ramp alongside Cena and The Rock at Elimination Chamber—is expected to attend Night Two of WrestleMania. That has further fueled speculation about a possible return by The Final Boss to close out the storyline.

Given the extensive buildup surrounding John Cena’s heel turn, omitting The Final Boss from WrestleMania would be a major misstep by WWE. The Rock’s absence at this point would not only diminish the credibility of his ongoing storyline involvement but also risk alienating fans who have followed the narrative closely. His presence is crucial to maintaining momentum and delivering a satisfying payoff.

With that in mind, if you’re placing bets, our prediction is clear: The Rock will appear tonight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will play a key role in the outcome of the highly anticipated match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena.

As of now, WWE has made no official confirmation regarding The Rock’s involvement at WrestleMania 41. With the second night of the two-night event set to take place Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, fans remain on high alert for any unexpected appearances.
