Triple H Reacts to Rey Fenix's WWE Debut

Triple H Reacts to Rey Fenix’s WWE Debut – Rey Fenix has officially arrived in WWE. The former AEW standout and one-half of the acclaimed Lucha Bros made his impressive debut on the April 4th episode of WWE SmackDown, picking up a decisive win over Nathan Frazer in singles action. His arrival marks another major acquisition for WWE as the company continues to expand its roster with top-tier international talent.

Following his in-ring debut, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque shared a heartfelt moment with Fenix backstage. In a video posted to Triple H’s official Twitter account, the two embraced, with Triple H telling Fenix, “You’re just getting started.” The video quickly went viral and received strong reactions from fans, excited to see WWE investing in Fenix as a major star.

Fenix’s road to WWE was a complex one. After establishing himself as a foundational pillar of AEW’s tag team division alongside his brother Penta El Zero M, Fenix had been sidelined for much of his final year in the promotion due to injuries. AEW extended his contract, citing time missed, which reportedly added nearly a full year to his deal. However, it’s now confirmed that AEW ultimately allowed Fenix to exit his contract early, clearing the path for his WWE signing.

Despite years of teaming together as the Lucha Bros in promotions such as AEW, AAA, and Lucha Underground, both Fenix and Penta are currently being positioned as singles stars on WWE programming. Penta made his WWE debut weeks ago and is already receiving a strong push, while Fenix’s victory on SmackDown suggests WWE has similar high hopes for him.

Fenix also debuted a new entrance theme in WWE, which received praise from fans for capturing his signature high-energy and lucha libre flair. Much like his brother’s theme, it added to the presentation of Fenix as a top-tier performer on WWE television.

As Fenix embarks on this new chapter in WWE, the potential for a full Lucha Bros reunion remains on the horizon, but for now, both men are showcasing their individual strengths. WWE seems intent on building them separately into major stars before possibly reuniting them down the line.

Fenix’s debut wasn’t just a win in the ring — it was a statement. With Triple H firmly in his corner and a global fanbase already behind him, Rey Fenix is poised to make a major impact in WWE.
