The New Day Set to Challenge the War Raiders at WrestleMania 41 – WWE WrestleMania 41 is taking shape with less than two weeks to go, and another major title match has been made official. The New Day—Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods—will challenge The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) for the WWE World Tag Team Championships at the grandest stage of them all.
WWE official Adam Pearce announced the match on Friday, following the controversial finish to their bout on this week’s episode of RAW. The New Day defeated the champions via disqualification after Ivar used a steel chair. Post-match chaos ensued when Kingston retaliated with a chair shot of his own, and New Day appeared poised to inflict further damage on Ivar’s neck before officials intervened.
The rivalry between these two teams has been building for weeks, and now they will finally settle the score at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
WrestleMania 41 will once again be a two-night event, taking place at Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20. While WWE has yet to officially announce the complete match order, reports suggest the following lineup is currently planned, though all matches are still subject to change until confirmed on WWE programming.
