ROH Women’s Pure Championship Announced, Card for AEW Dynamite: Spring BreakThru – Following Saturday night’s AEW Collision, AEW President Tony Khan officially announced the creation of a new title in Ring of Honor—the ROH Women’s Pure Championship. This new addition will complement ROH’s traditional Pure Championship division, emphasizing technical wrestling within the women’s roster.
A tournament to crown the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Champion is already underway. Matches have begun taking place during tonight’s ROH tapings, with the finals set for ROH Supercard of Honor. The title is expected to follow the signature Pure Rules format, spotlighting grappling, rope breaks, and sportsmanship—continuing ROH’s tradition of presenting a purist form of professional wrestling.
In addition to the championship announcement, the lineup for next week’s AEW Dynamite: Spring BreakThru has been confirmed, featuring several high-stakes tournament matches and a title defense. The current card includes:
- AEW World Trios Championship Match: Death Riders (Interim Champion Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta) (c) vs. The Opps (Samoa Joe, HOOK, & Katsuyori Shibata)
- Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinal: Mercedes Moné vs. Athena
- Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal: Hangman Page vs. Wild Card
- Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semifinal: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Will Ospreay
The tournament action continues to heat up ahead of AEW Double or Nothing, where the Owen Cup finals will be held, with the winners earning championship matches at AEW All In: Texas.
