Randy Orton Dares the Locker Room to Step Up at WrestleMania 41 – During the April 18 episode of WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton made it clear that while he doesn’t currently have a scheduled opponent for WrestleMania 41, he still plans to be part of the event in true Viper fashion.
Speaking from the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Orton reflected on the electric atmosphere surrounding WrestleMania weekend. He mentioned how he’s seen the excitement in fans’ eyes throughout his many appearances in Vegas and emphasized how much the WrestleMania legacy means to him personally.
“My father was in the main event of the very first WrestleMania,” Orton stated, “and WrestleMania has a lot to do with my legacy.” He also noted that if he ends up competing on Sunday, it will mark his 20th WrestleMania appearance—a major milestone in his career.
Orton promised the WWE Universe that he will show up to WrestleMania 41 on Sunday with his boots tied and “just enough baby oil” on his skin, ready to deliver. He issued a bold challenge to the locker room, daring anyone who wants to test themselves to meet him in the ring. “And just know,” he warned, “you’ll fall victim to the RKO.”
As previously reported, Orton was originally set to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41. However, that plan changed after Owens was sidelined with a legitimate neck injury that will require surgery.
