Mercedes Mone Set to Make Wrestling “History” with Arena Mexico Appearance – Mercedes Mone continues to carve out a historic legacy across the world of professional wrestling. Already holding the AEW TBS Championship, the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, Mone’s career could soon reach an unprecedented milestone.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer recently reported that Mone is poised to accomplish a rare feat if she competes at the AEW Grand Slam: Mexico event, scheduled for June 18th in collaboration with CMLL. According to Meltzer, “In our listing of wrestlers who will complete the foursome of wrestling in Madison Square Garden, the Tokyo Dome and Wembley Stadium as well as Arena Mexico, Mercedes Mone is another that will be added to the list with Arena Mexico. She would become the first woman in history to wrestle in all four of those buildings.”
This potential achievement would place Mone in a category all her own, emphasizing her global influence and groundbreaking career. She has already performed at Madison Square Garden, Japan’s Tokyo Dome, and London’s Wembley Stadium, participating in major events that showcased her star power to international audiences.
Meanwhile, Mone’s momentum inside AEW shows no signs of slowing. She is currently set to face Jamie Hayter in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament at the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, further solidifying her standing as one of the most prominent figures in wrestling today.
With her continued success and the possibility of yet another historic first, Mercedes Mone’s 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most significant years of her career.
