Karrion Kross Talks Fan Expectations, WWE Creative Process, and Character Evolution

Karrion Kross Thanks Fans, Talks WWE Creative Process, and More – Karrion Kross recently shared a candid message with fans during an appearance on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, expressing his appreciation for their unwavering support while also addressing their calls for certain versions of his character to return. He provided insight into WWE’s creative process and emphasized his commitment to delivering the best possible performances for the audience.

Kross Thanks Fans for Their Support

During the interview, Kross took a moment to acknowledge the dedication of his fanbase.

“I just want to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for tuning in to watch me. Thank you for all the love online even though I’m a bad guy. I think it’s okay to love the bad guys every once in a while…”

Despite portraying a villainous character, Kross appreciates the positive reactions he receives and recognizes the connection fans have with his past personas. Many have expressed a strong desire to see him revisit his Killer Kross persona or the darker Evil Father Kross with face paint—versions of his character that gained popularity during his time in NXT and other promotions.

Addressing Fan Requests for Character Changes

Kross made it clear that he understands what fans want and is actively working toward bringing those elements back in a way that aligns with WWE’s direction.

“…just know that I know what you want to see out of me, and I’m trying to work to a place where I can give that to you. All the things you’re talking about. Evil Father Kross with the face paint. Killer Kross, which I get a lot. You guys want to see that resurgence of everything that I did on NXT.”

However, he also highlighted the challenge of balancing his creative vision with WWE’s overall storytelling. He assured fans that he continuously communicates with the company’s creative team to find common ground.

“Just know that I’m always talking to creative. I’m always trying to find the best common ground between what they want and what you want.”

A Performer Focused on the Audience

For Kross, performing is not about personal gratification—it’s about delivering compelling entertainment for the fans. He emphasized that every aspect of his in-ring work is designed to enhance the experience for the audience.

“I literally don’t do anything for myself on TV at all. I literally do it for you guys to try to make the segment as best as possible… everything I’m doing, even move for move, is to make sure that you guys get the most out of what you’re watching.”

Despite the challenges that come with adapting to WWE’s creative process while staying true to his character, Kross remains dedicated to his craft and the fans who support him. He ended with another message of gratitude, reinforcing how much their loyalty means to him.

“I appreciate you all sincerely. I really do. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be doing this.”

Kross’ words make it clear that while he may be navigating the complexities of WWE’s creative direction, he remains deeply committed to delivering performances that resonate with his audience. Whether his darker personas will return in the near future remains uncertain, but fans can rest assured that he is working toward giving them what they want.
