Karrion Kross Open to Facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 – As noted, Kevin Owens has been pulled from WrestleMania 41 due to a legitimate neck injury that will require surgery. Owens was originally scheduled to face Randy Orton at the event, but with his removal, one of WWE’s most accomplished Superstars is now left without an opponent just days before the biggest show of the year.
In an interview with WrestleZone, Karrion Kross reacted to the news with empathy for Owens and interest in possibly stepping into the spotlight against Orton.
“I’m still really upset hearing about what happened to Kevin,” Kross said. “I was kind of hoping he was going to pop out of a box and be like, ‘Gotcha!’ I was really hoping that was going to happen. And then, I wouldn’t even have been mad that he worked us all. But I don’t think that is the case.”
Owens’ injury not only impacts the card but also leaves open a high-profile opportunity. When asked about the possibility of replacing Owens, Kross didn’t hesitate to voice his enthusiasm.
“I don’t know who Randy’s opponent is going to be. But, if they asked me, I’d do it in a heartbeat,” Kross continued. “That would be crazy if that happened in Las Vegas. That’s where I got my break, and that’s really still very much my home.”
Kross has yet to be confirmed for a match at WrestleMania 41, which takes place across two nights on April 19 and 20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, before any WrestleMania opportunity can materialize, Kross is scheduled to face AJ Styles on the final episode of RAW before the big weekend. That match could offer a momentum shift — or a final proving ground — should WWE decide to pivot and pair Kross with Orton in Owens’ absence.
With fans already speculating online and rallying behind the idea, the door may be opening for Karrion Kross to make a significant WrestleMania statement in his hometown.
