Jordynne Grace Reportedly Took a Pay Cut to Join WWE

Jordynne Grace reportedly took a significant pay cut to join WWE, despite earning a main roster-level salary in NXT. She was already financially successful prior to signing with the company.

Jordynne Grace has quickly emerged as a top-tier competitor in WWE NXT, but new information suggests her move from TNA Wrestling to WWE may have come at a surprising financial cost.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that former TNA executive Scott D’Amore indicated Grace took a deal worth “a lot less money than she was making to come to WWE and bet on herself.” The statement has raised questions about the nature of her WWE contract and what motivated her to make the jump from TNA, where she had become one of the promotion’s most recognizable and decorated stars.

While Meltzer did not elaborate on D’Amore’s comment, the implication has been widely interpreted to mean that Grace willingly took a pay cut to pursue new opportunities with WWE.

However, Fightful Select provided additional context, noting that although Grace may have earned more previously through a combination of her TNA salary, brand partnerships, and outside ventures, her current WWE deal pays at a main roster level—despite her being positioned in NXT.

According to Fightful, Grace’s WWE compensation surpasses her TNA base salary, though it may not match the overall earnings she had when factoring in other revenue streams. Nevertheless, the report also revealed that Grace was financially secure before signing with WWE, even stating she was a millionaire prior to making the move.

Grace’s transition to WWE has been treated as a significant one, with the company pushing her strongly since her debut. Her success in NXT has fueled speculation that she could be fast-tracked to the main roster, especially given the investment reportedly being made in her and her existing star power.

As always, talent contracts and negotiations can be complex, particularly when factoring in external earnings and personal decisions. But in Jordynne Grace’s case, the decision to join WWE appears to have been motivated less by financial incentives and more by the opportunity to elevate her profile on a larger stage.
