Jordynne Grace Reacts to Botches Dive During NXT – The April 8 episode of WWE NXT opened with a highly anticipated singles match between Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker, both vying to impress current NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who observed the contest from the commentary table.
The match was physical from the outset, with both competitors looking to secure a statement win ahead of NXT Stand & Deliver. During the bout, Parker set up for her signature hip attack in the corner, but Grace managed to dodge it at the last second, causing Parker to crash hard into the mat. Grace attempted to capitalize on the moment with a high-risk maneuver, but it did not go as planned.
As Parker recovered on the outside, Grace attempted a suicide dive through the ropes. However, her legs appeared to catch the middle rope, causing her to fall short and crash to the floor in a scary-looking moment. While she continued the match, Grace later acknowledged the botch on social media in her usual comedic fashion.
“Oh y’all MFs never seen a REAL suicide dive?!” Grace posted on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a clip of the failed dive.
When asked by a fan if she was physically okay following the spill, Grace responded with humor, writing, “No dummy, I’m DEAD.”
Despite the mishap, Grace quickly got back to her feet and shoved Parker in the direction of Vaquer, triggering a chaotic scene. Parker and Vaquer began to brawl, and Grace joined in moments later. The situation escalated further when former NXT Women’s Champion Giulia made her surprise return to television, running in to initially fend off Grace and Parker — only to turn on Vaquer with a headbutt and a devastating brainbuster.
Later in the night, Vaquer announced her decision to defend the NXT Women’s Championship against all three women — Grace, Parker, and Giulia — in a Fatal 4-Way match at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 19, 2025.
While Grace’s dive didn’t go according to plan, it added an unpredictable moment to an already explosive opening segment and helped set the stage for what promises to be one of the most intense women’s matches on WrestleMania weekend.
