Knight continued the offense with shoulder thrusts, but Fatu shifted momentum with a pop-up Samoan Drop and a series of powerful strikes, including a diving headbutt to the ribs. Knight fought back with dropkicks and a double jump elbow drop for a near fall.
As the match progressed, Knight attempted BFT multiple times, but Fatu countered with a thrust kick and a devastating running hip attack in the corner. Fatu climbed the ropes for a swanton bomb but could only get a near fall. Knight responded with a crucifix bomb and a German superplex for another close count.
The final sequence saw Fatu escape another BFT attempt and take Knight to the top turnbuckle. After a series of strikes, Fatu executed a Super Samoan Drop, followed by two double-jump moonsaults to secure the pinfall victory.
After the match, the celebration continued as Fatu was joined in the ring by wrestling legend Haku, for an emotional post-match moment.
This victory marks Jacob Fatu’s first championship in WWE and solidifies his arrival as a dominant force on the main roster.
