CMLL vs. AEW and ROH Supercard Set for June 17 at Arena Mexico – CMLL has officially announced a major interpromotional event featuring stars from AEW and Ring of Honor. The show will take place on Tuesday, June 17 at Arena Mexico in Mexico City, just one night before AEW holds its inaugural event in the country, Grand Slam Mexico, on Wednesday, June 18.
The collaborative event, billed as CMLL vs. AEW and ROH, will bring together talent from three major wrestling promotions, continuing the momentum of cross-promotional efforts between the companies. This announcement further cements the growing relationship between AEW and CMLL, which has seen expanded talent exchanges in recent months.
Additionally, CMLL confirmed a special edition of its FantasticaMania series for Friday, June 20 at Arena Mexico, also featuring AEW talent. The show is shaping up to be a true international showcase, as it will also include talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), NJPW Strong, and Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro).
One featured match already confirmed for FantasticaMania is a trios bout showcasing NJPW’s Shingo Takagi in his Arena Mexico debut. Takagi will team with Hiromu Takahashi and CMLL’s Titan to take on Templario, TJP, and Francesco Akira.
No matches have been officially announced yet for the CMLL vs. AEW and ROH event or AEW’s Grand Slam Mexico special, but additional details are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Given the wide range of talent involved, anticipation is high for what could be a landmark week of wrestling in Mexico.
