Carmelo Hayes emerged victorious in the 2025 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal during the WrestleMania 41 go-home edition of WWE SmackDown. The match featured 26 WWE Superstars, and Hayes sealed his win by eliminating longtime rival Andrade in the final moments of the match.
The closing stretch of the battle royal brought back memories of the heated Hayes-Andrade rivalry from 2024, which spanned seven matches. In this latest encounter, both men found themselves battling on the second rope. Hayes managed to counter Andrade’s positioning and tossed him over the top rope to secure the victory.
The final four in the match included Hayes, Andrade, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Rey Fenix. Nakamura was eliminated after Andrade landed a dropkick while Nakamura was seated on the top rope. Moments later, Rey Fenix attempted his signature Goodbye Amigo Kick by walking the top rope, but was caught off guard by El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), who pulled him down and sent him over the top rope.
