4/4 WWE SmackDown Results

4/4 WWE SmackDown Results – Tonight’s WWE SmackDown from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, begins with a look at last week’s contract signing.

CM Punk’s music hits in the arena and The Best in The World makes his way to the ring. Fans are loudly chanting “CM Punk! CM Punk!”

Punk says he doesn’t know where to begin, but they told him the best television audiences were overseas but he knew they were coming to Chicago.  Punk takes the camera and he shoots the crowd.  Punk says that is why they don’t listen to ‘them’ or outside voices.  He says he is not supposed to be here.  He was born with a cord around his neck.  He was blue and they had to bring him back to live.  He says he wasn’t supposed to be here.  No matter where he shows up, his goal is to make new fans every time.  Punk apologizes for not getting new fans, but he wanted to thank his friends and family in Chicago.

When they tell you that you are not supposed to be here, who is going to tell him to leave.  He says nothing has changed just because he is main eventing Wrestlemania.  Punk mocks Dwayne and the goosebumps.

Punk says he earned it.  It started in the backyards of Chicago when they told him he wasn’t supposed to be there.  He went to Steel Domain.  He signed a contract and he was told not to be here.  He was in a gangster suit for John Cena’s entrance and he was told he isn’t supposed to be here.  Punk says now, the hard work begins.  He says he is a product of this town.  Punk says someone might be mad at him for people chanting his name, but he knows Larry won’t be mad.  There are way too many people to thank to get him where he needs to be.  He figured that was a good start.  He wouldn’t be who he is or where he is because of this city.  Now, the hard work begins because he has a date at Wrestlemania and he promises he will whip Seth Rollins’ ass.  He is going to put a beating on Roman Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania.

Paul Heyman interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.  He apologizes for being late and he says it is no disrespect to the Second City or to his best friend CM Punk.

Punk thanks Paul and welcomes him into the ring.  Punk says Paul can’t escape the ECW chants.

Paul says don’t ask Chciago what they can do for their wise man, ask what your wise man can do for you.  Paul says he wanted to be the voice for the voiceless and he tells Punk that he belongs here.  He belongs in this ring, he belongs in Chicago, and he belongs in the main event of Wrestlemania.  The last time they were in the ring together was because of what Solo, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu did to him.  Paul talks about Punk winning Hell in a Cell and contemplating not coming back but Paul went to Punk and he said he had no one else to help him.  You said yes and you saved the Family.  You saved the Bloodline.  You deserve all the credit in the world.   Paul says he has one more favor for Punk.

Punk says he is stockpliing favors and he asks Paul what is the favor.

Paul wants to know what the favor is.  He says Roman is coming and he is not in a good mood.  Paul asks Punk if he knows what happens when a Samoan is not happy.

Punk asks if Roman is not here yet. Paul says he is training. Punk says the favor has to deal with Roman so he wants to tell Roman as well as Paul and he will tell him later tonight.

Tiffany asks Charlotte if she is done and if she got her woo in.  Your biggest competitor has never been in the ring.  No matter how long it has been she will win.  You put on a facade.  The saddest part of all of this is no matter how many titles you win, you will be second to your father.  At Wrestlemania, you will be second to her.

We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and FINALLY Roman Reigns decides to arrive at the building.  Roman walks past Paul on his quickly way to the ring.

Roman wants Chicago to acknowledge him.  Roman asks Paul ‘IS HE HERE”? and Paul says he is.

The crowd chants for Punk and he says that is who he is talking about.

Roman asks Paul if he is still talking about this favor.  Roman asks Chicago how do they deal with this guy.  He asks if he should share a secret with Chicago and Paul suggests that he does it.

Roman says CM Punk wouldn’t be back here if it wasn’t for him.  He says CM Punk wouldn’t be in the main event of Wrestlemania because of him.  Roman says you are good people and you mean well, but you aren’t too smart.  Punk has wrestled everyone under the sun, but he has never been in the main event of Wrestlemania.  Not until he was introduced to him.  Roman says the people in his city are chanting for him so he tells CM Punk to come out to tell us about that favor.

Before Punk can come to the ring, Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Seth says he doesn’t know what this little favor is, but the reality is that it will probably knock your socks off.  You don’t jive well with reality.  You don’t like to live in the real world.  When you step outside your universe, reality bites you in the ass.  He doesn’t want to do a history lesson, but . . . Heist of the Century.  Main Event of Wrestlemania last year.

You underestimate CM Punk and try to ignore him but he does not go away.  Now he is in the main event of Wrestlemania and now he has to live it.  Roman could have stopped it at War Game or he could have stopped it at Madison Square Garden.  Seth says he is in a better place and he has perspective.  You can let things leave you behind or you can adapt and stay in control.

Roman says the reality is you aren’t trustworthy.  Roman says Seth has no clue what loyalty means.  Punk is here because he made a promise to Paul and he is a man of his word.  Roman says he didn’t call out Seth, he called out Punk.

Seth says he is out here to hear CM Punk.  There is only one thing missing.

CM Punk’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

Punk says the favor is about friendship, legacy, promises made, and promises kept.  It is about loyalty.  This goes back to OVW when they told Paul that he didn’t belong and they told him to fire Punk and Paul said no.  Your wise man is wise.  You prophesized this on Raw.  Everyone else might have forgotten it, but Punk says he hasn’t.  Punk says him, Big Show, Paul,, and RVD were talking among themselves and Punk mistakenly said it was about him and he said without Paul he will be fired.  Paul says Punk will be fine.  Punk asked Paul what can he do.  Paul said, when you main event Wrestlemania force them to deal with us.

THEY aren’t here any more but you are here so he will force Paul.  He is going to force Paul out of his comfort zone.  He wants Paul to deal with US.  In the main event, in his corner, it will be your wise man, his best friend . . . Paul Heyman.

Roman looks around and is confused about what was just said.

Seth says he told Roman.

Roman asks if that is the favor.  Roman starts to laugh.  Roman says Paul needs him.  He says he saved Paul.  Even if he let him, Paul wouldn’t.  Roman asks Paul to let this desperate fool down easy.

Paul starts to talk and Roman does not look happy.

Roman asks Paul if he is crying.  He tells Paul to wipe them up and tell him no.

Roman says he took Paul in, he made Paul relevant.  He tells Paul to tell him no.

Roman says he will give Paul one more opportunity to say no.

Paul says he cannot do that.

Roman grabs Paul and places him in the corner while Seth laughs.

Punk hits Roman from behind with the mic and punches him.  Punk with a GTS to Roman.

Punk stares down Seth, but Seth leaves the ring.

We go to credits.

4/4 WWE SmackDown Preview

Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown is set to deliver major developments across multiple divisions, including two high-stakes Number One Contender’s Matches, the continued road to WrestleMania 41, and a long-awaited debut in the ring.

United States Champion LA Knight will soon learn who his next challenger is, as Jacob Fatu goes one-on-one with Braun Strowman in a Number One Contender’s Match. The rivalry between Fatu and Strowman has intensified over the past few weeks, with both men making it clear they have their eyes on Knight’s title. Their tension reached a boiling point last week when Fatu interfered in a U.S. Title match between Knight and Strowman, causing a disqualification and denying Strowman a fair opportunity to capture the championship.

The tag team division will also take center stage when The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) face off against #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) in another Number One Contender’s Match. The winners will earn a shot at The Street Profits, who dethroned #DIY on March 14 to become WWE Tag Team Champions. Last week, the champions retained in their first title defense against Pretty Deadly.

In the lead-up to their Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns will each appear live tonight. Their match was made official last week during a contract signing in Las Vegas, where all three exchanged words. Paul Heyman revealed that the match would main event one night of WrestleMania, despite Punk’s belief that Heyman still owed him a favor.

Naomi is scheduled to return to in-ring action tonight for the first time since February 28, when she competed in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. She will take on B-Fab in singles competition. Last week, Naomi interrupted B-Fab at ringside during Michin’s match against Charlotte Flair, only for Jade Cargill to even the odds, forcing Naomi to retreat.

Additionally, Rey Fenix will make his in-ring WWE debut tonight, though his opponent has not been announced.
