WWE, UFC, and PBR Unite for Kansas City Event as TKO Hits $2.8 Billion in Revenue in 2024

TKO Group Holdings, parent company of WWE, UFC, and Professional Bull Riders (PBR), announced a landmark joint event in Kansas City following its record-breaking $2.8 billion revenue in 2024—a 67% year-over-year surge. The “TKO Takeover Presented by VeChain” marks the first time all three brands will host consecutive events in one city, running April 24–28, 2025, at T-Mobile Center.

Event Details and Schedule

The five-day spectacle begins with PBR’s Unleash the Beast Series (April 24), followed by UFC Fight Night (April 26), and culminates with WWE’s Monday Night Raw (April 28). This collaboration, facilitated by the Kansas City Sports Commission, aims to use overlapping fanbases and boost local tourism.

Kathy Nelson, President of Visit KC, projects the event will generate “significant economic impact” for hotels and businesses, amplified by national broadcasts across ESPN (UFC) and USA Network (WWE). VeChain, UFC’s blockchain partner since 2022, expands its role as the takeover’s presenting sponsor, highlighting TKO’s focus on tech-driven fan engagement.

UFC and WWE: A Synergistic Partnership

The merger of UFC and WWE under TKO in September 2023 has proven strategically potent. UFC contributed $1.406 billion to TKO’s 2024 revenue, while WWE added $1.398 billion—up from $1.015 billion in 2023. CEO Ariel Emanuel attributes this growth to “the strength of our IP” and cross-promotional opportunities, such as shared media rights negotiations and live event integrations.

The Kansas City takeover exemplifies this synergy. With many different platforms offering bonuses, such as Fliff promo code, fans have a consolidated experience of combat sports and scripted entertainment, which they can take to the next level.

Financial Context and Challenges

Despite record revenue, TKO’s net income fell sharply to $6.4 million in 2024, down from $175.7 million in 2023, due to rising operational costs. The company remains bullish for 2025, targeting nearly $3 billion in revenue through expanded partnerships and events1. Analysts note risks, however, as reliance on live audiences and volatile sponsorship markets could pressure margins.

Kansas City’s TKO Takeover represents a pivotal test of the conglomerate’s unified strategy—blending raw athleticism, storytelling, and fan loyalty into a single, marketable spectacle. Success here could cement TKO’s dominance in sports entertainment, while missteps might amplify scrutiny over its ambitious financial targets.
