WWE to Run Multiple Events in Tampa on May – WWE is reportedly set to return to Tampa, Florida, for its next Saturday Night’s Main Event special on NBC, and the company is also planning to hold an NXT premium live event the following night.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, WWE has scheduled Saturday Night’s Main Event for May 24 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. WWE currently has a deal with NBCUniversal to host four of these specials per year, with this marking the second one of 2025.
Additionally, WWE is planning to hold NXT Battleground on May 25, also in Tampa. If confirmed, this would be the second year in a row that Battleground takes place in May, following the 2024 event in Lowell, Massachusetts.
There are also rumors that Monday Night RAW on May 26 could be held in Tampa, making it a significant WWE weekend in the city.
With NXT Stand & Deliver taking place during WrestleMania 41 weekend, Battleground would be the next major PLE for the brand. WWE has not officially announced the event, but given the scheduling trends, an official confirmation could be expected in the coming weeks.
WWE’s decision to run multiple events in Tampa suggests a major push for the market, which has previously hosted key shows, including WrestleMania 37. Fans can expect further details as the company finalizes its upcoming event schedule.
