Von Wagner Set for First Match Since WWE Release – Former WWE star Von Wagner is set to return to the ring for the first time since April 2024.
Wagner was among the surprising names released by WWE last year, despite being considered for a main roster call-up. Before his departure, he had been involved in a storyline with Bron Breakker and Lexis King. His last match took place on April 2, 2024, where he lost to King.
Now, Wagner is making his in-ring return under his real name, Cal Bloom. Midwest All-Star Wrestling has announced that he will compete at their March 15 event, where he is scheduled to face Shay Diesel.
Wagner, the son of former WWE star Beau Beverly (Wayne Bloom), had been a fixture in NXT, where he was often positioned as a powerhouse competitor. His return to independent wrestling marks a new chapter in his career, and it remains to be seen whether he will pursue opportunities in larger promotions moving forward.
