Top NXT Star Returns to TNA Wrestling at TV Taping – TNA Wrestling held its latest round of television tapings on Friday night at the St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Missouri, and the event featured a surprise appearance from WWE NXT Superstar Ethan Page.
Page made his return to TNA for the first time in over four years, marking another development in the ongoing partnership between TNA Wrestling and WWE. His last appearance for the company was at the Hard to Kill 2021 pay-per-view, where his character was “killed off” in a cinematic match by his alter-ego, The Karate Man.
During Friday night’s tapings, Page appeared in a segment involving TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and veteran wrestler Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian had just issued a challenge to Hendry for the TNA World Championship at Rebellion, scheduled for April 27. However, Page interrupted the proceedings and stated that he, too, had earned a title opportunity.
As a result, it was officially announced that Joe Hendry will defend the TNA World Championship against both Frankie Kazarian and Ethan Page in a Triple Threat Match at Rebellion.
The storyline development reflects the growing collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE, as more NXT talent continues to make appearances on TNA programming. It also marks an important milestone in Page’s career, as he returns to a promotion where he previously found success before moving on to AEW and eventually signing with WWE.
