TNA Wrestling Fires Gail Kim and Other Key Officials – TNA Wrestling has parted ways with Gail Kim and several other backstage personnel in a significant restructuring of the company’s leadership.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, TNA sent an internal email confirming the departures of Kim, Ariel Shnerer, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko. Sapp clarified that these were firings, though further details remain unclear.
Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI reported that multiple TNA talents were shocked by Kim and Shnerer’s departures. Kim, a seven-time TNA Knockouts Champion and Hall of Fame inductee, had been working as a producer and co-Head of Talent Relations. Her contributions over the years made her a key figure in the company’s Knockouts division.
Shnerer was the Senior Vice President of Content, Distribution & Marketing at Anthem Sports Group, while Kligman served as the Chief Revenue Officer. Shewchenko held the role of Vice President of Digital Operations.
More Details on TNA’s Management Changes
Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed the report and added that TNA President Carlos Silva issued a memo to Anthem Sports Group staff regarding the changes. Shnerer’s exit is particularly notable, as he was the company’s Executive Producer and head of creative. With his departure, Hunter “Delirious” Johnston will take over creative, with Tommy Dreamer remaining on the team.
Additionally, Dreamer will now lead Talent Relations. More staff cuts include Karen Clevett, Romy Glazer, and Sebastian Dastrani. Rafael Morfi, who handled live events, is also leaving the company.
Meanwhile, Silva announced new hires, with David Clevinger set to become Senior Vice President of Digital in April. Nicole Rachine has already started as the new Senior Vice President of Sales this month.
