This marks their first reign with the titles since 2021, solidifying their place once again at the top of the tag team division.
Following their victory, Ford and Dawkins spoke in a SmackDown Exclusive, sharing their excitement about winning the gold. Dawkins described the moment as “unreal” and revealed that he drew inspiration from a recent Real Madrid match, which motivated him to push even harder inside the ring.
“Unreal. A couple of days ago, I went to go see Real Madrid versus Atletico Madrid, and watching their resilience on the pitch was something special. It motivated me to come out here and put on a show, especially in Barcelona,” Dawkins said.
Ford, echoing his partner’s energy, emphasized that their journey as champions was only beginning.
“All week, we’ve been talking about ‘job’s not finished, job’s not finished.’ But guess what? Job’s just started. We’re the new WWE Tag Team Champions,” Ford stated.
Dawkins then sent a warning to any team looking to challenge them.
“We ain’t losing these no time soon. So, like we say, any team that wants to get in our way, try to get a shot at these titles, we putting y’all in the dirt, ten toes down. Street Profits, bar none, fade all, we want the smoke.”
