The Natural Disasters Set for WWE Hall of Fame Induction – The Natural Disasters, one of WWE’s most dominant tag teams from the early 1990s, are reportedly set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, according to WrestleVotes.
The team consisted of John “Earthquake” Tenta and Fred “Typhoon” Ottman. The two joined forces in mid-1991 and quickly established themselves as a powerhouse duo, using their immense size and strength to dominate the WWF tag team division. They captured the WWF World Tag Team Championship in 1992, defeating Money Inc. (Ted DiBiase & IRS). Their reign lasted three months before dropping the belts back to Money Inc. following a single title defense against The Beverly Brothers.
The Natural Disasters remained an active team until the end of 1992. After their split, Earthquake returned to singles competition, where he remained a force in WWE before leaving in 1994. He later reappeared as Golga in The Oddities during the late 1990s before exiting the company in 2001. Sadly, he passed away in 2006. Typhoon also went back to singles action before leaving WWE in 1994. He continued wrestling on the independent circuit before officially retiring in 2009.
If officially announced, The Natural Disasters will join Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Michelle McCool as part of the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class. The ceremony will take place during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas, celebrating their contributions to WWE’s tag team division and their lasting impact on professional wrestling.
