Street Profits Win WWE Tag Team Titles on SmackDown – The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, reclaimed their spot at the top of WWE’s tag team division by capturing the WWE Tag Team Titles on SmackDown. They defeated DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, marking their second reign as champions. This victory ends DIY’s 98-day reign, during which they successfully defended the titles three times. It also marks the Street Profits’ first championship run since 2021.
The match opened with Ciampa and Dawkins testing each other’s strength and agility. Dawkins gained the early advantage, landing heavy strikes before he and Ford used their signature teamwork to double-team Ciampa. However, DIY quickly turned things around, isolating Ford and keeping him grounded with precise offense. Gargano capitalized on an opening, knocking Ford off the apron and sending him crashing into the barricade. Ciampa followed up with a suplex onto the ropes and a running knee, further wearing down Ford.
As the match progressed, DIY continued to control the pace, but Ford managed to tag in Dawkins, who stormed the ring with a powerful flurry of offense. Ford attempted a 450 splash, but Ciampa countered. DIY then executed a double-team attack on Ford, nearly sealing their victory. Outside the ring, Dawkins sent Ciampa crashing into the timekeeper’s area, shifting the momentum.
The Street Profits attempted a doomsday Blockbuster, but Ciampa broke it up. Ford responded with a high-flying dive onto Ciampa, and after a second attempt, they successfully hit the doomsday Blockbuster. Ciampa nearly won with the Fairytale Ending, but a miscommunication between DIY saw Gargano inadvertently strike Ciampa during a Meet in the Middle attempt. Ford capitalized, delivering a thunderous frog splash to secure the pinfall and the titles.
With this victory, the Street Profits are once again at the top of the tag team division, and fans will be eager to see how their reign unfolds.
