Ricochet Praises Jon Moxley and the Death Riders for ‘Holding Everyone Accountable’ – Despite the Death Riders’ ruthless tactics in AEW, Ricochet sees value in what Jon Moxley’s faction is doing. The high-flying star recently shared his thoughts on The Mark Hoke Show, expressing his appreciation for the group’s impact on the locker room.
“When you got a group like that, who are holding everybody accountable and they’re holding everybody to a certain standard, everyone’s going to have to step up or they’re going to get beat up,” Ricochet said. “Again, everyone can say what they want to say about Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, but if you’ve got something to say, then go beat them and change it, which no one has.”
While some AEW fans have voiced their frustrations with the stable’s dominance, Ricochet believes the group is simply maintaining a high standard. He even compared them to legendary figures in wrestling history.
“And look, say what you want, but they’re winning. Just like all the old greats were winning,” Ricochet continued. “Back in 1985, when it was Magnum TA versus Nikita Koloff and Nikita was beating him the whole time, everyone was mad at Koloff because he was just winning. It’s like, well, until Magnum actually beat him, you can’t say nothing.”
Although Ricochet is focused on his own rivalry with Kenny Omega, he appreciates Moxley’s approach. “If this was back in the day, everyone would be waiting for someone to change whoever is in charge and what their rules are. People are waiting for Magnum TA or someone to come out of the woodwork and beat him. And that’s basically what Moxley is doing right now. He’s just waiting for whoever is good enough to step up and beat him. So hey, I’m all for the Death Riders. They’re holding everybody accountable. It’s about time people get held accountable.”
With Moxley and the Death Riders continuing to dominate AEW, it remains to be seen who will finally take them down.
