According to PWInsider, WWE made the call to pull Naomi from the media schedule as part of an effort to sell the storyline attack she suffered at Elimination Chamber. At the event, Jade Cargill made her return after a months-long absence, launching a vicious assault on Naomi. Cargill had been off television since mid-November following a mystery attack, and her return was both impactful and brutal.
During the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, Naomi was set to compete and was about to lock up with Liv Morgan when Cargill stormed the ring. The unexpected attack left Naomi unable to participate in the match, reinforcing Cargill’s dominance in her WWE comeback.
Despite being pulled from media obligations, Naomi still attended the Queen of the Ring premiere in New York City on Tuesday. She was accompanied by her husband, Jimmy Uso, and made sure to keep her storyline intact by arriving in a neck brace. This move further emphasized the severity of Cargill’s attack as WWE continues to build the feud.
