Lex Luger Set for WWE Hall of Fame Induction – Lex Luger is officially headed to the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. WWE confirmed the news on Friday, sharing a video of Cody Rhodes personally informing Luger of his induction. This long-awaited honor recognizes Luger’s contributions to the wrestling industry, both in WWE and WCW.
Luger’s wrestling career includes a controversial departure from WWE in 1995, when he secretly jumped to WCW at Eric Bischoff’s request. His surprise appearance on the debut episode of WCW Monday Nitro remains one of the most memorable moments in wrestling history. Despite the abrupt exit, Luger has maintained a working relationship with WWE in recent years, serving as an ambassador for the company.
A former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Luger has long been viewed as a Hall of Fame-worthy performer. He has openly expressed his desire for an induction, calling it a “huge honor.” At the same time, he has previously admitted his uncertainty over why he had yet to receive the recognition.
Luger joins a star-studded 2025 Hall of Fame class led by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, with Michelle McCool also confirmed as an inductee. The ceremony will take place during WrestleMania 41 weekend and will be available for streaming on Peacock in the United States and Netflix in most international markets.
