Jey Uso Responds to Critics Ahead of WrestleMania 41 Title Match – Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble victory stirred debate among fans and critics alike, with some questioning whether he belongs in a world title match at WrestleMania 41. As his showdown with Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship approaches, Uso has addressed the skepticism surrounding his position on the card.
During an appearance on the RAW Recap podcast, Uso was asked about the ongoing discourse regarding his main event status. He acknowledged the criticism but remained confident in his abilities.
“All I know is, Uce, I’m in a job where I do get critiqued a lot,” Uso said. “Gotta have tough skin. Gotta know how to take criticism. At the end of the day, though, I’m human too. I bust my ass to get to this spot. I’m telling you right now, I’m going to take it. Doubt me now. Do what you do. I got my fans behind me, Uce. I got my brothers, my family behind me.”
He went on to say that he intends to prove his doubters wrong.
“That’s all I need right now. I’m telling you, I’m going to shock the world twice. I’m shocking the world two times. I tripped and fell, had a little bit of a stumble, but you know me. I’m gonna catch myself and come right back up, Uce. That’s always been my career. That’s me. They saw me come from the bottom, and I’m still trying to eat. I’m still trying to go out there and get it. Still trying to prove myself every single week. That’s that.”
Jey Uso Is Focused on WrestleMania
Uso also shared his mindset heading into WrestleMania 41, emphasizing the high stakes of his match.
“All I know is, I’m just trying to stay above water as every day goes by, leading closer to WrestleMania,” Uso said. “I ain’t never had this kind of mindset. So I’m dealing with that. But I really feel like, enough with all the bright colors, enough with trying to entertain. I don’t know. All I know is, at WrestleMania, I have to beat Gunther because if I don’t beat Gunther, that’s it for Jey Uso. So everything’s on the line right now. I’m taking it day by day.”
