Jade Cargill Suffers First Singles Pinfall Loss on WWE SmackDown – Jade Cargill’s dominant run came to an unexpected halt on the March 21st episode of WWE SmackDown, where she suffered her first singles pinfall loss in WWE. Liv Morgan secured the victory after outside interference played a key role in the outcome.
The match took a controversial turn when Raquel Rodriguez distracted the referee, giving Naomi an opening to attack Cargill with one of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship belts. Morgan took advantage of the situation and delivered her finishing move to pin Cargill for the win.
After the bell, Naomi continued her attack on Cargill, sending a clear message in their intensifying feud. This marked Cargill’s first match since November 2024 and her first singles contest since August 2024. She had been absent for months due to a mystery attack storyline, in which she was ambushed backstage.
Cargill made her return at WWE Elimination Chamber, revealing Naomi as her attacker and viciously assaulting her in retaliation. Naomi was left in a battered state and had to be stretchered out of the arena.
With emotions running high, it appears WWE is building toward a Cargill vs. Naomi showdown at WrestleMania 41, though no official announcement has been made.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, this loss marks Cargill’s first singles pinfall defeat since September 2023, dating back to her AEW days. Prior to this, she had remained undefeated in five WWE singles matches since signing with the company in late 2023.
