Jayne came up short in her non-title bout against Slamovich, but the action didn’t end when the bell rang.
In a post-show digital exclusive video, Jayne addressed the aftermath of the match, where she and her tag partner, Tessa Blanchard, attempted to launch a post-match attack on Slamovich. Their plans were interrupted when Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee rushed to the ring to help Slamovich fend them off.
Clearly frustrated, Jayne directed her comments toward Brookside, Lee, and Slamovich.
“Xia Brookside, Léi Ying Lee — why? Please tell me why you decided to come down and help Masha Slamovich,” Jayne said. “Masha doesn’t have any friends, but I get it. You probably just want a little bit of the Jacy Jayne rub. You’re not the first, and you won’t be the last to try to soak up a little bit of that NXT Rockstar shine.”
Jayne made it clear that she has no intention of letting the situation go and teased a return to TNA with reinforcements.
“But unfortunately for you, I’m coming back to TNA, and I’m bringing my friends,” Jayne added. “You’ve all made a fatal mistake.”
While Jayne did not specifically name who would be joining her, it appears she may be hinting at an appearance by her NXT allies, Fallon Henley and Jasmyn Nyx, members of the Fatal Influence faction. Jayne, Henley, and Nyx have been aligned together in NXT programming in recent months, and their potential arrival at TNA could further escalate this inter-promotional rivalry.
TNA iMPACT will tape its next set of television episodes on March 28 and March 29 at the St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Missouri. It remains to be seen whether Jayne and her allies will appear at those events or if their confrontation with Slamovich, Brookside, and Lee will continue in the weeks ahead.
