Hammerstone Concludes TNA Wrestling Run with World Title Match – Hammerstone has officially wrapped up his time with TNA Wrestling, with his final match being a TNA World Championship opportunity.
On the March 13 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Hammerstone made his in-ring return for the first time since TNA Turning Point, challenging Joe Hendry for the TNA World Title. Hendry, who had already defended the championship earlier in the night against Ryan Nemeth in a quick squash match, managed to retain against Hammerstone in the main event.
The bout was taped during TNA’s February event at Full Sail University, marking Hammerstone’s last match with the company for now. On March 7, he announced his departure following the expiration of his contract. Taking to social media, he confirmed he was no longer under contract with TNA, expressing excitement for future opportunities.
Hammerstone had been sidelined since TNA Turning Point in November due to a knee injury that required surgery in December. He was medically cleared to return in February, allowing him to finish his run with the promotion.
Prior to joining TNA, Hammerstone was a dominant force in MLW, where he held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. He has also been a fixture on the independent circuit, showcasing his power and athleticism.
Notably, Hammerstone made his WWE NXT debut in September, facing Oba Femi in a match that received strong praise. With his TNA contract now expired, it remains to be seen if WWE or another major promotion will pursue him.
