Eric Bischoff Dismisses Idea of Working for Vince McMahon in a New Wrestling Venture – On the latest episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff answered fan questions, including speculation about whether he would consider working for Vince McMahon if the former WWE Chairman launched a new wrestling-related project. While rumors have swirled about McMahon potentially starting an entertainment company, nothing official has been announced.
Bischoff made it clear that he has no interest in returning to the wrestling industry.
“I realize now that there is nothing I could do in professional wrestling that’s ever going to bring me fulfillment. It’s just not because I’ve done it, and I’m proud of what I’ve done. Unless I can do something that could make me feel as excited as I felt back then about professional wrestling, I can’t do it. I just don’t have that desire to focus on that business any longer for Vince or anybody else.”
He also pointed to his past experiences, particularly his brief tenure with WWE in 2019, as a cautionary tale.
“If I took a job like that, I would be taking it for the wrong reasons and would probably end up having the same results that I did in 2019. I’m just not that interested to commit that much to that industry.”
Bischoff wrapped up his thoughts by expressing appreciation for his time in wrestling while reaffirming that it is a closed chapter in his life.
“As much as I respect it and am grateful for it, that period of my life is in the rearview mirror and I enjoy every time I look in the rearview mirror and see it.”
With Bischoff firmly distancing himself from any potential return, fans speculating about his involvement in a new McMahon project will likely have to look elsewhere.
