CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins to Headline WrestleMania 41 – WrestleMania 41 is shaping up to be a historic event, with CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins set to headline one of the show’s nights. The announcement was made during the March 28th episode of WWE SmackDown, where all three men signed the contract for their highly anticipated showdown.
Reigns kicked off the segment, stepping into the ring to a warm reception from the London crowd, who cheered him with chants of “Roman, Roman Reigns.” He explained that he had two things to do: be acknowledged and sign the WrestleMania 41 contract.
Next, Rollins made his entrance, remarking on the history between him and Reigns in the very building. He made it clear that while Reigns had been around, it was Rollins who had carried the load, saying, “We? You keep saying we. Our mission? We died a long time ago. You’ve been here, but I’ve done all the work.”
Rollins then criticized Reigns for his role in bringing CM Punk into the mix. “You could have cut his head off, instead you shook his hand. Now, I’m left to clean up your mess…again,” Rollins said.
CM Punk entered last, delivering his signature line about being “here to chew bubble gum and sign a contract,” only to declare, “I’m all out of bubble gum.” Punk carefully reviewed the contract, leading to frustration from Reigns. Paul Heyman intervened, assuring Punk that everything he wanted was in the contract, including a spot as the main event at WrestleMania.
Rollins voiced his displeasure at Punk’s main event status, claiming Punk didn’t deserve the spot. Punk responded by thanking the fans who supported him, prompting Reigns to sarcastically suggest Punk should be thanking him instead. Punk acknowledged Reigns, but ended with, “That’s not the favor that I’m owed.”
