AEW Considered Alternate Revolution Ending with Luchasaurus – A new update has surfaced regarding AEW star Luchasaurus, also known as Killswitch, who has been absent from in-ring competition for an extended period due to a serious health condition.
Rumors recently circulated about a possible “alternate ending” for AEW Revolution, though no official confirmation has been provided. However, multiple sources have confirmed that Luchasaurus was backstage at the event. One insider specifically noted his presence when asked about the speculation regarding an alternate conclusion.
Further inquiries into his backstage role revealed that discussions took place about a potential return. However, when pressed for details about whether he was supposed to be part of the rumored alternate finish, sources remained tight-lipped.
It is worth noting that Luchasaurus is closely affiliated with Christian Cage, who played a pivotal role in the AEW Revolution 2025 main event, which saw Jon Moxley defend his AEW World Championship against Cope (Adam Copeland). Midway through the match, Cage used his Casino Gauntlet championship contract, turning the bout into a three-way contest. Despite the unexpected shift, Moxley managed to retain his title by forcing Cage to submit.
Luchasaurus has been out of action due to a severe case of double pneumonia, a condition that reportedly put his life at risk. In December 2024, Bryan Alvarez reported that he was “doing much better” and actively working toward an eventual in-ring return.
At this time, it remains unclear whether he has been medically cleared to compete, but his presence backstage suggests that AEW could be preparing for his return.
